When it comes to smartwatches, there are plenty of models available in the market today, ranging from affordable no-frills smartwatches, to those that have clearly been designed for users who have more money to spare and who might care about fashion. Back in 2017 fashion brand Louis Vuitton launched such a device called the Tambour Horizon which has since gotten a 2019 upgrade.

In a report from Engadget, it looks like Louis Vuitton has decided to give the smartwatch an upgrade for the new year. The upgrade smartwatch will be featuring the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100, in which one of its features is improved battery life. What this means is that the device should last you one full day with regular usage, and up to five days if you’re just using the device to tell the time.

The device has also been upgraded where it will now sport a new display that is said to offer better definition, and a new 24-hour ring around the rim of the device to indicate day/night. Other than that, for the most part the smartwatch will offer up features similar to that of its predecessor and other smartwatches, like the ability to count your steps, display notifications, and so on.

It is unclear if the 2019 Tambour Horizon will feature a heart rate sensor (the previous model did not). There is also no mention on pricing, but given that its predecessor cost $2,490, we expect that the new model should be priced around that range as well.
