MWC 2019 is coming up which means that we can expect to see companies such as Sony announce new devices. One of those devices is the Sony Xperia XZ4 which would represent Sony’s flagship smartphone for the year, which now thanks to additional leaked images shared by Sumahoinfo, we can “confirm” certain features.

As you can see in the image above, it shows the back of the Sony Xperia XZ4 where a triple camera resides. This is in line with what we know about the phone based on previous leaks which also revealed the existence of the triple camera setup. This isn’t surprising since dual lens smartphones are starting to become “old”.

Based on the image though, it revealed the specs of the camera which includes a whopping 52MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.6. There will also be a telephoto lens with a 16MP sensor and an aperture of f/2.6, and there will also be a third time of flight camera with a 0.3MP sensor and an f/1.4 aperture. Presumably this last camera will be used to measure distance and could also tie in potential augmented reality features.

There does not appear to be a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which means that either Sony will be embedding it into the side of the phone, under the display, or Sony could actually be using facial recognition. Take it with a grain of salt for now but check back with us at MWC 2019 for the details. In the meantime it’s a bit hard to get excited especially with Sony pulling out of even more markets, which means that there is a good chance that the Xperia XZ4 might skip the US.
