Blizzard has been teasing the launch of a new hero for its Overwatch game, and if you have been looking forward to trying out a new character, you’ll soon be able to. The official Overwatch account on YouTube has unveiled the latest hero that will soon be added to the game in the form of Baptiste.
According to Blizzard’s description, “Mobilize alongside the combat medic who made the shrewd decision to make the world a better place, one bandage… or bullet at a time: Baptiste.” It’s actually surprising that the new hero turned out to be Baptiste. This is because when Blizzard unveiled Ashe last year and they released a new story trailer, it was hinted that the next new hero could be a robot that used to work with McCree.
This led to speculation that the next hero could be that, but it seems that Blizzard has pulled a fast one by announcing Baptiste instead. Based on the description, Baptiste will be a healer class hero, but judging by the trailer, he will be capable of dealing damage as well. No word on when the hero will be released, but it will definitely be released into the PTR first before launching in-game for everyone else, so we’ll keep an eye out and hopefully Blizzard will have a more detailed trailer in the near future.
