An Xbox Game Pass subscription provides you with access to a library of more than 100 games that you can continue to play as long as you’re paying for the service. Microsoft regularly adds more titles to the library so that there’s always something new for players to try out. It’s now adding one of its most prized properties to the service. Minecraft is landing on Xbox Game Pass.

Microsoft has confirmed that Minecraft will be available on Xbox Game Pass from next month, on April 4th to be precise. It joins the library of more than 100 titles that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can already access as part of their subscription.

This is a great opportunity for those who have not yet played Minecraft on the Xbox One to try the game out for free if they’re subscribed to the service. However, most console owners will likely have a copy of Minecraft already, given the extremely popular nature of this title.

You don’t just get games that have been out for a while with this service. Microsoft has even added its latest first-party titles like Crackdown 3 and Forza Horizon 4 to the service. The company has also made a commitment that all of its own games will be available on Xbox Game Pass the same day they’re released in stores.
