The other day, Apple announced their new Apple Arcade gaming service that will be launching later this year. Now according to some speculation, it seems that one of the games that could be part of the new gaming service could be No Man’s Sky, the somewhat controversial indie game that launched a while ago.

This is according to a tweet by Peter Hunt who received a promotional email for the upcoming service. In the email there was an image attached that shows No Man’s Sky running in the background. This has led to speculation that Hello Games could potentially be bringing the game over to Apple Arcade, and thus iOS and Apple TV devices.

Now before you get too excited, there are some who believe that the image of No Man’s Sky could be either used as a placeholder or it could be used as a wrong image for a different game. As Pocket Gamer points out, there is a thread on Reddit which suggests that Apple could have meant to refer to Sky: Light Awaits, not No Man’s Sky.

However, the difference in the games are pretty obvious, not to mention the name “No Man’s Sky” is clearly stated in the image, meaning that it would be almost impossible for anyone to mistake the game for another. In any case, take it with a grain of salt for now but until we get a confirmation or a denial, try to temper your expectations.
