The Uber Rewards loyalty program was introduced in January this year. The feature was initially rolled out to riders in select cities like San Francisco. It calculated how much they have spent on Uber and Uber Eats in the last six months and awards perks such as no-fee cancellations if they rebook, free car upgrades, and more. Uber is now rolling out the rewards program to all riders in the United States.

Like all loyalty programs, the idea behind this initiative is to ensure that riders stay loyal to Uber and not take their business to its competitors. To incentivize that, Uber Rewards offers them one point for every dollar spent on UberPool, Uber Eats, and Express Pool.

Once enough points have been accumulated, riders can reach rewards levels like Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. They will require at least 7,500 points for Diamond. Its perks include priority pickups at airports, free delivery on Uber Eats orders, and more. The basic Blue level offers $5 in Uber cash for every 500 points accumulated, so there’s something for everyone.

All riders in the United States can now take part in the ride-hailing service’s loyalty program. They can go over to Uber’s website to sign up for the rewards program right away. Uber has said that it will count every eligible dollar spent on Uber and Uber Eats in the six months prior to enrolling for the program.
