One of the upsides to using a battery case for your phone is that it eliminates the need to take a power bank out with you as it is essentially attached to the device. If that sounds like something you might be interested in, then you’ll be pleased to learn that Mophie has since launched a new battery case for the iPhone.
Dubbed the Juice Pack Air, what makes this case different and potentially more useful is that it offers both wired and wireless charging. This means that users who want to charge their phone using a wire can do so via the Lightning port, but at the same time, users who want to use wireless charging will be able to do so as well without having to remove the case.
Given that wireless charging typically requires the case of the smartphone to be somewhat thin, this usually means that cases that are thicker will not be compatible, but that won’t be the case with the Mophie Juice Pack Air. The case itself will come with a 1,720mAh battery which is actually kind of small, but it should still give you enough juice for those times that you need it. The Mophie Juice Pack Air is priced at $100 and there are different models for the iPhone XS, XS Max, and the iPhone XR.
