Emojis are fun ways for people to communicate with each other. After all, they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and according to Apple, there will be several thousand words that its iOS and Mac users will be able to expect later this year when the company will be releasing a bunch of new emojis for its mobile and desktop platforms.

According to Apple, “Fifty-nine new emoji designs will be available this fall with a free software update for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Thousands of emoji are currently available, including emotive smiley faces, gender-neutral characters, more professions, various clothing options, food types, animals, mythical creatures and more.”

These new emojis include things like more types of animals for users to choose from. It will also include fun emojis such as food, to other emojis that have been designed to be more inclusive and gender-neutral for users who might not be able to associate with the current lineup of emojis that are available.

For example, there will be an update to the Holding Hands emoji where according to Apple, it will offer more options in terms of combination of skin tones to reflect the diverse cultures in the world. There will also be more disability-themed emojis to include things like prosthetic arms and legs. These emojis are expected to be released this fall, so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for.
