Apple’s lower-cost iPhones like the iPhone 5c and the iPhone SE weren’t exactly the best-selling iPhones around. Instead, that honor went to Apple’s higher-end iPhones, but that seems to be shifting with the iPhone XR in which according to the latest data from CIRP, it has been revealed that the iPhone XR was the best-selling iPhone in the US for Q3 2019.

For those who are wondering how much it might have been between the iPhone XR and the iPhone XS and XS Max, it seems that it wasn’t even close. CIRP claims that the iPhone XR accounted for a whopping 48% of iPhone sales in that quarter, where the iPhone XS and XS Max represented a fraction.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about how the iPhone XR is doing really well. This is because the iPhone XR has most of the features that the iPhone XS and XS Max has, while coming in at a cheaper price. Sure, consumers had to give up certain features, like the dual camera and the use of LCD instead of OLED, but otherwise it’s more or less identical to the iPhone XS and XS Max.

Apple is expected to refresh the iPhone XR later this year, and the good news is that the company is expected to introduce a dual camera to the iPhone XR 2, which should help its adoption and bring it closer to the iPhone XS and XS Max.
