Apple Warns Against Keeping The Apple Card In Leather

Now that the Apple Card has been made available to all iPhone users in the US (pending eligibility), some of you might be interested in signing up for it. Now, regardless of its features and its promises, design-wise, the Apple Card looks fantastic clad in titanium, reminiscent of some of those higher-end credit cards that some of us might never see in our entire lives.

That being said, you’ll want to make sure that it is kept clean and pristine to maintain its premium look, and if you’re wondering how to do that, Apple has actually posted a guide on its website in which they are advising users how to maintain and keep their Apple Card clean, and things to avoid to prevent it from getting damaged.

Oddly enough, one of the things Apple has told users to avoid is to keep it away from certain fabrics such as leather and denim. Given that the vast majority of our wallets are made from leather, this sounds like it could be an issue. The company claims that storing it in these types of fabrics could result in permanent discoloration that might not be able to be washed off.

The company has also advised users from storing the card against other credit cards and make sure they do not touch as it could become scratched, and to avoid keeping it near magnets as it could demagnetize the magnetic strip on the card itself.
