For gamers who might have been holding off on the Nintendo Switch, whether it be due to price or maybe concerns regarding battery life, you might have heard the news that Nintendo launched the Switch Lite back in July last month. If you were thinking about getting it, then you’ll be pleased to learn that Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the console.

The Switch Lite will be available in a gray, turqouise, or yellow finish where it will be priced at $200 for the console alone. It is expected to begin shipping out to customers on the 20th of September, so you will have to wait close to two months before you’ll be able to get your hands on it.

In case you’re learning about this for the first time, the Switch Lite is a smaller and more compact version of the Switch. It features non-removable controllers, and left side of the controller also features a D-pad, something that the original Switch and the Joy-Cons seem to be missing.

The fact that it is smaller means that it will be more portable, but the downside is that you won’t be able to connect it to your TV, but we imagine that those are not the gamers Nintendo will be targeting. We should also point out that Nintendo will let gamers transfer saves between the Switch and Switch Lite, although not all games on the Switch will be supported on the Switch Lite.
