One of the ways that Samsung wanted the Galaxy Fold to stand out from the competition wasn’t just based on hardware, but also the after sales service where the company planned to offer a concierge-like service for customers. Given that the phone is priced at an eye-watering $2,000, we imagine that customers probably won’t be satisfied with just the hardware alone.

The good news is that if you’re living in the US and you are planning on buying or have already bought yourself the Galaxy Fold, you’ll be pleased to learn that in the latest update to the Samsung Members app, the Galaxy Fold Premier Service is now live, so you’ll want to update the app if you’d like to take advantage of the service.

For those who are unfamiliar, Samsung had initially planned a “red carpet” experience for Galaxy Fold customers, one of which included this Premier Service. What it does is that it allows users to get in touch with a Samsung expert either through video chat or by dialing a dedicated toll-free number.

Unlike your typical customer service hotline, this Premier Service will only be available to Galaxy Fold customers. Presumably this should lead to shorter wait times and experts that are more familiar with your phone and any issues you might have with it. It is a rather novel service, we’ll have to admit, but some might appreciate it.
