Thinking about getting a Disney Plus subscription? The good news is that if you’re a Verizon customer, it seems that the carrier will be giving away a free year’s subscription to Disney Plus. If you’ve already pre-ordered your Disney Plus subscription, not to worry because that purchase will be put on hold.

Instead, the free year of Disney Plus will run first and only once that’s expired will your subscription kick in. This effectively gives you two years of Disney Plus, with the first year being free. It is a pretty generous offer and according to Verizon, it will apply to new and existing customers who sign up for Fios home internet, 5G home internet, and Verizon wireless unlimited.

This is a rather aggressive marketing strategy that will see similarities to what Apple is doing, where the company is giving customers who purchase a new Apple product a year of Apple TV Plus. Given the competition from the likes of Netflix and Amazon, it’s not surprising that Disney and Apple are trying their best to attract new customers and lock them in as quickly as possible.

If this sounds like a deal you might be interested in, then head on over to Verizon’s website and sign up for it.
