Apple Arcade currently costs subscribers $4.99 a month. It’s not particularly expensive, but if you do have multiple subscriptions to other services running, we imagine that it will all add up to be quite a lot. The good news is that Apple is now giving you a chance to save some money if you’re willing to commit.

The company has recently introduced a new annual subscription option where it will be priced at $49.99 a year. This is more or less a $10 savings compared to if you were to subscribe on a month-to-month basis. Of course, this will lock you in for an entire year, but if you’re confident that this is a service you plan to use for a while, then you might as well save some money while you’re at it.

For those unfamiliar, Apple Arcade is a subscription service introduced by Apple earlier this year. It offers users access to an entire library of games that they can download and play whenever they want, almost like the Netflix of mobile games. Some of these games are exclusive to Apple Arcade and have made waves based on stellar reviews.

The idea is that these are full, premium games without any in-app purchases or microtransactions, so that gamers will be able to enjoy the game in full without having to worry about paying more to unlock additional features. Google also has a similar feature in the form of Google Play Pass, with the main difference being that it also covers non-gaming apps.
