dualshock 4

Sony just unveiled a DualShock 4 back button attachment to help gamers play competitive games with ease.

The back button attachment makes the controller versatile without hindering the experience.

The attachment includes two tactile programmable buttons to help you make the most of your controller.

Of course, not everyone will like the addition – but for most of the users, it should come in handy.

In the press release, Sony also mentioned that the two back buttons can map up to 16 different actions (like the triangle, circle, R1, and R2) with tactile feedback to the buttons as well.

In addition to that, it is worth noting that the attachment also features an integrated OLED display that provides real-time information on button assignments.

Also, surprisingly, the attachment includes headset pass-through for connecting a 3.5mm wired headset to the controller – which is impressive.

You should be able to utilize the attachment for all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR titles. Some of the games may not require that level of flexibility – but it all comes down to your preference.

The DualShock 4 back button attachment will be available in the US and Canada on January 23, 2020, for SRP $29.99 USD, $39.99 CAD.
