It has been nearly a decade since the last Hummer was rolled off the production line. For those who love the truck and wouldn’t mind seeing a modern revival of it, you could be in luck because GMC recently posted a teaser on its website where they are hinting that the Hummer will be revived.

According to the teaser, GMC has revealed that the Hummer will be revived and brought back as an EV, or an electric truck. Given that many companies are starting to make the shift towards creating electric vehicles, it’s not surprising that GMC has chosen to bring the Hummer back as a more environmentally-friendly vehicle.

The company will be making a full reveal of the vehicle on the 20th of May, 2020, but in the meantime, they have teased the front portion of the car (see image above), as well as several specs of it. This includes how the new Hummer will feature up to 1,000 horsepower, 11,500 pounds/ft of torque, and the ability to go from 0-60mph in just three seconds.

The company did not mention what kind of range we might be able to expect, but like we said, the full announcement will take place in May, so we expect those details to be shared then. GMC is not alone in creating electric trucks. More recently, Tesla also took the wraps off its own electric truck in the form of the very futuristic-looking Cybertruck.
