Samsung is set to announce their next-gen flagship smartphone soon, but when exactly? According to a recent press release by Samsung, the company has confirmed that come 11th of February, 2020, they will be hosting their 2020 Unpacked event in which there is a good chance that the Galaxy S20 smartphones will be announced.

In case you’re hearing about this for the first time, Samsung is rumored to be renaming their flagship phone of 2020 to the Galaxy S20 instead of the Galaxy S11 which is what we were expecting. The rumors claim that this is because we are in 2020, and Samsung wants to take advantage of that fact with its rebranding efforts.

Also, what’s interesting about this particular Unpacked invite is that the letters “A” in the Galaxy name have been blanked out and replaced by two rectangular and square-ish shapes. We’re not sure if there is any significance, but if you have been following the news, you might have heard that Samsung could be working on a new Galaxy Fold handset.

This phone is said to be clamshell in design and unfolds like the flip phones from back in the day, so perhaps the hint is hiding in the invitation. Either way, we’ll find out soon enough.
