We all know for sure that every year, Apple will host an event in the middle of the year in the form of WWDC. However, the company does hold multiple events a year, one of which sometimes takes place in the early part of the year which can sometimes feature refreshes for the iPad or MacBook lineup.

However, according to a report from German website iPhone-Ticker, they claim that Apple will be hosting an event on the 31st of March in which the rumored iPhone SE 2 (also known as the iPhone 9) could be announced. They go on to add that the handset itself will be released shortly after the announcement, possibly on the 3rd of April.

As to how they arrived on the 31st of March announcement date, firstly they were tipped off by their source. Secondly, as 9to5Mac notes, Apple’s previous March events have typically taken place on Tuesdays, like last year and the year before, so it stands to reason that this year’s event could also take place on a Tuesday.

Like we said, the event will most likely see the announcement of the iPhone SE 2/iPhone 9, and it is also possible that maybe some iPad or MacBook refreshes could be announced, but until Apple has officially confirmed it, take it with a grain of salt for now.
