If you were a kid that grew up in the 90s, then there is a good chance that you might recall those handheld consoles made by Tiger Electronics. The good news is that if you’re looking to relive some old school nostalgia, Hasbro has announced that they will be reviving those consoles where four new models will be launched this coming fall.

The consoles that will be available include The Little Mermaid, Transformers: Generation 2, X-Men Project X, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Each console will be priced at $14.99 and according to Hasbro, “The design and technology were created with the original handheld game unit in mind.”

In case you did not grow up playing these consoles, these were basically handheld consoles that could pretty much only play one title at a time. Their appeal lay in its simplicity and straightforward gameplay, where they come with a background image that is fixed, and it will also feature a monochrome LCD where your characters appear.

Granted they might not feature gameplay that is as immersive or graphics rich as today’s consoles, but they were plenty of fun back in the day. Each console will also be powered by a pair of AA batteries that will be sold separately (as expected).
