Blizzard’s Overwatch was kind of a happy accident. The company had been working on its next-gen MMORPG codenamed Project Titan, but they later decided to scrap the project and instead used some of its assets to create Overwatch. It was a good decision because Overwatch was launched to great success and is now one of the staples in the eSports scene.

So much so that despite it being a new game, a ton of official merchandise has been created for it, such as Nendoroid figurines and Nerf gun toys. However it turns out that Hasbro isn’t quite done with Overwatch yet because the company has since announced plans to launch more toys based around the game.

This includes action figures based around several popular Overwatch characters, as well as a Monopoly set based on Overwatch. We’re not sure if all these new toys will dilute the franchise, but it could be a good way for younger kids to get into the game by starting off with the toys. Plus we imagine that they would make for good collectibles amongst fans.

The action figures are expected to be released later this year, and GameStop is actually taking pre-orders for the Monopoly set where it will be released this coming April.
