For a car company, Porsche has certainly teamed up with a lot of tech companies on design collaborations. We’ve seen them work with BlackBerry, LaCie, and now it looks like Porsche will be teaming up in a new partnership which has resulted in the creation of the Porsche Design Acer Book RS laptop.

This is a laptop that features an all-metal chassis that will come with a carbon fiber design on the lid, which is kind of Porsche’s go-to design move. Under the hood, the laptop will be powered by Intel’s 11th gen processors where users can configure it to support up to an i7 processor. There will also be the option to include an NVIDIA MX350 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 14-inch FHD IPS touchscreen display.

According to Acer, the laptop comes with dual copper heat pipes which they claim will allow the laptop to remain cool while in use, and they are also boasting that the laptop will come with a battery that will last for as long as 17 hours. This battery also supports quick charging that can give users up to 4 hours of battery life on a 30 minute charge.

According to Jan Becker, CEO of Porsche Design Group, “With more than 40 years of experience in the industry, Acer’s proven track record of excellence matches our commitment to delivering outstanding products with our partners. We are delighted to kick-off this partnership with the new Porsche Design Acer Book RS that embodies the DNA of our brand to the core and sets new standards in performance and design.”

The Porsche Design Acer Book RS is priced starting at $1,399.99, but there will also be a premium package option that comes with a travelpack, mouse, and the i7 configuration priced at $1,999.99.
