With rumors suggesting that Apple’s augmented reality glasses could launch as soon as this year, we’re sure that many are wondering what the future could look like for iOS and macOS devices with AR being more in focus. Thanks to 24-year-old designer Dominik Hofacker, we don’t have to wonder anymore.

Hofacker put together a concept video which shows what macOS could look like when viewed through a pair of AR glasses. Basically, instead of your screen being the limitations of what you can see, using AR means that any surface can essentially become a desktop for macOS. This will mean that you can open many windows as you want and have them spread out as wide as you can see. It is kind of reminiscent of the sci-fi movie, Minority Report.

That being said, we’re not sure if such a future would ever take place. This is because we’re not sure what Apple’s AR glasses can do given that it currently exists as a rumor. Some of the previous reports have claimed that the earlier models will act more like a display that will be powered by the iPhone, so it’s not a stretch to think that it could also be tethered to a Mac.

In any case, just enjoy this concept for what it is: a concept, and who knows, maybe one day this is how Apple will envision us using its Mac computers.
