We have been hearing that Apple could be planning on launching a new pair of AirPods, but whether or not this will be the AirPods 3 or the AirPods Pro Lite remains to be seen, but if you were hoping for the third-gen AirPods, you could have to wait until later in the year, at least that’s what analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says.

According to Kuo, he claims that Apple’s AirPods 3 will only be launching in the second half of the year, most likely in the third-quarter of the year. Kuo claims that the earphones aren’t ready yet and will only enter mass production later in the year. Like we said, there is a bit of confusion surrounding the AirPods lineup at the moment so it is unclear how this might play out in Apple’s rumored March event.

For those unfamiliar, Apple is rumored to be hosting an event next week where they were originally rumored to launch a new set of AirPods called the AirPods Pro Lite. This will be an in-between model where it will be priced cheaper than the Pro, but will also have features that would make it better than the regular AirPods model.

In any case, we should have the details soon enough, especially if the company’s plans for an event next week are true, so check back with us next week for the details if there are any to be had.
