There’s a lot to love about the iPhone 12’s design. The use of metal and glass certainly lends a luxurious feel to the phone, but unfortunately, it is one hell of a fingerprint magnet. Even if you slap a case on it, the glass cover for the camera is still a magnet for fingerprint and dust.

If you hate that of the iPhone 12, the iPhone 13 could come with some good news. According to a recent video uploaded to EverythingApplePro, leakster Max Weinbach shared some news about the iPhone 13’s design. According to Weinbach, it seems that Apple plans to introduce a matte black option for the iPhone 13.

He also claims that for the Pro and Pro Max versions, which feature a stainless steel band, Apple will also introduce anti-fingerprint coating to help fight smudges and fingerprints. However, we imagine that most people would probably put their phones in a case to begin with, so we’re not sure how helpful this coating would be, but it could encourage some users to seek out even more minimal protection to show off the design of the phone.

In any case, it’s probably too soon to tell if the rumors are true, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Apple were to introduce a new color option as the company has been doing that for the past couple of years already.
