Apple will be hosting their Spring Loaded event next week. The rumors are claiming that the event will most likely see Apple introduce their long-rumored AirTags accessory and also new mini LED iPad Pros and a third-gen Apple Pencil. Adding on to the list of rumored product announcements is the iMac.

In a video uploaded to YouTube, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed that he expects that Apple will most likely introduce an iMac refresh at the event. There has long been rumors that the iMac could be due for a refresh and that this refresh will not only see the computers get the new M1 chipset (or some variant of it), but it could also sport a brand new design.

The last time Apple updated the design of the computer was in 2012, unless you count the new color option given to the iMac Pro. This means that the design is close to a decade old and most definitely could use an update. There have also been reports that the 21.5-inch iMac is currently facing a shortage in supply, hinting that Apple could indeed be preparing to launch a newer model.

If this is true, then next week’s event could be a jam-packed event full of product announcements, but until we get the official word, don’t get your hopes up at seeing a new iMac just yet.
