When Apple launched the iPhone 11, many were surprised at the battery gains of the handset over its predecessor. However, with the launch of the iPhone 12, Apple for whatever reason decided to lower the battery size across the models, an odd move given the gains from the previous model.

The good news is that with the iPhone 13, Apple will be bumping battery size again. This is according to a tweet by @L0vetodream who claims that the iPhone 13 series will see battery improvements across the board. For the iPhone 13 mini, the battery is said to be 2,406mAh, while the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro will sport a 3,095mAh battery, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max will come with a 4,352mAh battery.

To give you some context, the iPhone 12 mini had a 2,227mAh battery, the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro had a 2,815mAh battery, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max had a 3,687mAh battery. If these numbers are accurate, we could see quite a substantial increase in battery life, something that iPhone 12 owners have been complaining about.

This could also be the first time we’re seeing an iPhone cross the 4,000mAh mark, which on paper puts it closer to its Android rivals, many of whom already sport 4,000mAh or larger batteries.
