Part of what makes Google’s ecosystem so compelling is that they all tie-in with each other and sync up so easily that moving across their products and services feels so seamless. Gmail is a good example, where Google has integrated Chat into it so that you can chat with your contacts while also replying to emails without having to leave the window.

In fact, it looks like Google really doesn’t want you to leave because they have announced that they have started to roll out a new feature in which it would allow Google Chat users to actually edit Slide presentations within Chat itself, while also collaborating and sharing it with other users as well.

According to Google, “In Google Chat, you can now open and edit a Slide presentation in a side-by-side view. By enabling you and your collaborators to directly edit presentations without leaving Chat, we hope to make it easier to transform your ideas into impact.” This move doesn’t really come as a surprise because if you recall, Google actually allows for a similar thing when it comes to editing Docs or Sheets, so it was only a matter of time before they extended it to Slides.

If you don’t see the feature yet, don’t worry because according to Google, it could take up to 15 days before it is rolled out to everyone, so keep an eye out for it if this is something you think might be useful to you.
