In terms of outward appearance, it is largely expected that the iPhone 13 series will look the same as its predecessor, the iPhone 12. However, there are going to be some subtle changes, one of which is the notch which is said to be smaller, and it also seems that the camera modules could be made bigger, but how much bigger, you ask?

Assuming a photo shared on Weibo is accurate, it seems like it could be much bigger. As you can see in the photo above, it shows the iPhone 12 Pro placed inside of a leaked case designed for the iPhone 13 Pro. The phone itself seems to fit in the case, but the camera cutout suggests that the camera modules on the iPhone 13 Pro will be considerably larger.

However, before you get too excited, know that case makers tend to start designing cases even before the phone is released. This is because there is an advantage to having cases ready when the phone launches to try and capture early sales from those who wish to protect their phone ASAP.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that the designs are accurate, since we imagine that these case makers probably work off the same leaks that we’ve been seeing as well. In any case, we should have more details this September so check back with us then for more updates.
