Twitter’s Ticketed Spaces Now Available For Some iOS Users

Earlier this year, Twitter launched its own version of Clubhouse called Spaces. For those unfamiliar, this is a feature of Twitter that lets users go live together and host conversations and gatherings virtually using audio instead of just text like a regular Facebook group or a forum.

Twitter later announced their plans to eventually allow users to monetize Spaces, and for iOS users who are interested in this feature, you’ll be pleased to hear that the feature is now live, at least for some users.

According to Twitter, “we want to help people creating cool Spaces make $$$. today, some Hosts will be able create Ticketed Spaces! we’re experimenting on iOS only for now but we hope to get it to everyone soon. know it’s taking us a little time, but we want to get this right for you!”

It’s actually not a bad idea and it’s interesting that Twitter seems to have pounced on the idea first instead of Clubhouse, who kind of kickstarted the trend. This will be useful for people who want to host workshops or events virtually and also make some money off it. There’s no word on when it will make its way to more users or Android, but it probably won’t be too long.
