As some of you have heard, Twitter has launched its answer to Clubhouse called Spaces. However, at the moment the feature is only available on mobile devices, meaning that if you’re on your computer and wanted to host or join Spaces, you wouldn’t be able to, but it seems that Twitter is working on it.

According to a tweet by Nima Owji, it appears that Twitter is testing out letting users join and host Spaces through its web interface. We suppose this doesn’t really come as a surprise given that there are plenty of mobile applications that also have desktop interfaces that makes it easier for users to switch between devices.

It will also be more convenient for users who spend more time on their desktops instead of their phones, so giving users the option is not a bad idea. It could also give Spaces a leg up on the competition like Clubhouse, which at the moment is still limited to mobile, so maybe opening up Spaces on the web could encourage more users to use it.

There is no word on when this feature will be released to the public, if at all, but given that it is in testing is a good sign. Hopefully Twitter will have something official to announce soon.
