Are you thinking about upgrading to Apple’s brand new iPhone 13 handset? It is pretty expensive, we’ll have to admit, but that’s what trade-ins are for, right? Of course, how much you get depends on the place you’re trading in to, the condition of your phone, and etc., but it looks like Verizon might now be worthy of your consideration.

This is because the carrier has announced that they will now be increasing the subsidies they’re offering for the iPhone 13. The carrier had previously offered a trade-in value of up to $700, which is actually rather low compared to other carriers, but Verizon has since increased that amount to $1,000.

The carrier notes that the biggest subsidies will be given to those trading in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 models, obviously, so if you’re bringing in an older device, you probably won’t get as much. Also, presumably the condition of the phone matters as well, so if it’s broken and all beat up, don’t be surprised if your subsidy is less.

Verizon will be just one of several different platforms that you can trade-in an old iPhone for a new one, but with its subsidies being bumped up to $1,000, like we said, it might actually now be worth considering going through them.
