With all the success that Samsung has been having with its foldable phones, we would be surprised if Apple wasn’t looking into hopping onto that bandwagon. There have been rumors in the past about Apple possibly making their own foldable phone, and now it seems that we can roughly estimate when we will see it.

This is according to a report on Display Supply Chain Consultants where according to analyst Ross Young, he believes that Apple could possibly launch its own foldable phone in the coming years. However, it might not necessarily be anytime soon. According to Young, he believes it will arrive in 2023 at the earliest.

This means that we should probably forget about seeing it in 2022, and honestly even 2023 feels like a stretch. However, based on Young’s report, anything after 2023 is a possibility, even if it means 2025, 2027, or even 2030. That being said, if Apple does plan on making one, we doubt that they would want to give Samsung that much time to corner the market.

Also, keep in mind that there is another rumor circulating in which it suggests that Apple might actually plan to replace the iPhone with an AR headset in 10 years, so we’re not sure where a foldable iPhone could fit into this scenario, or maybe it’ll act as a transitionary device. Either way, with such a faraway timeline, it might be a good idea to temper your expectations for now.
