Apple’s Subscription Services Is Inching Closer To 1 Billion Subscribers

A few years ago, Apple indicated that they believed that subscriptions is the way forwards in terms of service offerings and even apps. It turns out that Apple’s decision to make a bigger push towards subscriptions is paying off in a huge way because during the company’s Q1 2022 earnings report, they announced that they managed to add 165 million paid subscribers over the last year.

This means that the total number of subscribers the company has at the moment is sitting at 785 million, which is pretty crazy when you think about it and how much money the company is generating every month from these subscriptions alone.

According to Apple CFO Luca Maestri, “Also paid subscriptions continue to show very strong growth. We now have more than 785,000,000 paid subscriptions across the services on our platform, which is 165,000,000 during the last twelve months alone. And finally we’re adding new services that we think our customers will love and we continue to improve the breadth and quality of our current service offerings.”

Apple currently has several subscriptions that users can subscribe to on a monthly basis. There is iCloud, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Apple News+, and Apple One which bundles various services together.
