Usually when companies release new phones, they also release new features that are typically exclusive to those devices. This is done to tempt customers into upgrading instead of purchasing or sticking with an older model, but the good news for Samsung customers is that you won’t need to upgrade so soon.

This is because Samsung has announced that they will be bringing some of the features of the Galaxy S22 to its other devices via a software update. Of course, some of the hardware changes and features of the Galaxy S22 cannot be ported to other devices, but at least some of the software will.

This will come in the form of the One UI 4.1 update that will be arriving for devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy S21, S20, and S10, as well as the Galaxy Note 10 and later. Samsung is also not forgetting its lower-end devices like the Galaxy A-series, earlier generations of its foldable phones, and also some of its tablets.

Some of the features that users can look forward to include the Expert RAW editing app, better object removal in photos, Google Duo live sharing, a virtual keyboard with Grammarly integration, and so on. While not exactly the most groundbreaking of features, we imagine it will still be enough to help breathe new life into older devices, especially for users who have no immediate plans to upgrade.
