Lenovo has introduced its latest lineup of IdeaPad Chromebook Plus laptops, aiming to combine improved hardware components with AI-driven features to enhance productivity, creativity, and user convenience. The one that caught our attention the most was The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook Plus.

The model introduces several exclusive tools and premium services. One standout feature is File Sync, which enables offline access to Google Drive files. Additionally, the laptop features a 1080p webcam with AI-powered video calling capabilities for crystal-clear video conferences. Another notable addition is the AI-powered Google Photos Magic Eraser, facilitating the removal of unwanted distractions from photos.

Benny Zhang, Director and General Manager of Chromebooks at Lenovo’s Global Innovation Center, Intelligent Devices Group, emphasized the relevance of portable and affordable laptops in today’s remote and hybrid work environments. He highlighted the flexibility and creative potential offered by the Lenovo IdeaPad Chromebook Plus family.

In terms of specifications, the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook Plus boasts a 16-inch WQXGA IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB color coverage, and a brightness of 350 nits. The 4-side narrow bezel design and 90% AAR (Active Area Ratio) contribute to an immersive visual experience.

Users can choose between two 12th Gen Intel Core processors: the i5-1235U or the i3-1215U, accompanied by Intel Iris Xe Graphics or Intel UHD Graphics, respectively. RAM options are limited to 8GB (16GB*32*4 dual channel), featuring 4266MHz LPDDR4x modules. Storage options include 128 GB eMMC SSD or M.2 PCIE 2242 SSD with 256 GB or 512 GB capacities.

Connectivity options encompass a MicroSD card slot, USB Type-C ports, USB Type-A ports, a Combo Audio Jack, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5. The laptops run on ChromeOS and offer a commendable battery life of 10 to 12 hours.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook Plus (16”, 7) is now available in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) in Stone Blue color, starting at 599€ (~$628). Buyers also receive a complimentary 3-month subscription to Photoshop Web and Adobe Express Premium.
