Porsche has introduced an innovative and driver-centric control concept, the “Porsche Driver Experience” in the new Panamera luxury saloon. This concept places the driver at the heart of the driving experience, achieving a harmonious blend of analog and digital elements. The updated Panamera, set to be revealed on November 24, 2023, will feature this control system, originally introduced in the Taycan, with a fully digital customizable display and user-friendly operation.

A key aspect of the Porsche Driver Experience is the arrangement of essential controls, closely positioned around the steering wheel, ensuring quick and intuitive access for the driver. This design simplifies the operation of the new Panamera in various driving scenarios, including dynamic driving situations.

Porsche’s dedication to driver-focused design is evident in numerous details. For instance, the steering wheel includes a toggle switch for navigating instrument cluster options and a mode switch for selecting driving programs. The gear selector lever is conveniently located nearby, allowing for an elegant climate control panel on the center console. This panel combines tactile and touch surfaces, offering both an intuitive and stylish solution.

The center console also features new finless and electrically adjustable air vents, and a spacious storage bin. The driver’s axis is emphasized with a digital, free-standing 12.6-inch instrument cluster, which allows for different configurations based on equipment and selected views. An optional head-up display can be operated directly from the sports steering wheel.

The interior of the new Panamera boasts a high-quality and sporty ambiance, characterized by clear design and luxurious materials. The decor concept flows seamlessly from the center console to the control panel and into the doors, with continuous ambient lighting emphasizing the vehicle’s breadth. Enhanced seat foam materials in all Panamera models enhance comfort and flexibility. The executive models feature an optimized rear seat system for increased passenger comfort during long journeys.

Porsche offers a wide range of color and material options for the new Panamera, including fine materials and bi-color designs. The availability of decor and accent options allows for a personalized touch to the interior.

In a first, the Panamera also offers leather-free equipment, combining sporty materials like Race-Tex and Pepita fabric for a unique and sustainable interior option.
