Wandercraft has introduced its innovative Personal Exoskeleton, a pioneering self-stabilizing walking exoskeleton designed to assist individuals with motor impairments in regaining mobility; The announcement was made during an exclusive event at Cure, Wandercraft’s healthcare innovation campus in New York.

The CEO, Matthieu Masselin, showcased the hybrid robotics technology that powers the Personal Exoskeleton, highlighting its potential to revolutionize the lives of those with walking disabilities. The Personal Exoskeleton, once cleared, could become the first self-stabilizing exoskeleton available for personal everyday use, allowing individuals with impairments to walk hands-free in their communities.

Building upon the engineering breakthroughs of Wandercraft’s Atalante X exoskeleton, which is currently utilized in rehabilitation hospitals and walking centers worldwide, the Personal Exoskeleton is designed to provide a new mobility solution for impaired users. The compact design of the Personal Exoskeleton enables operation in unpredictable urban environments, offering users the ability to control their direction, navigate steps or sidewalks, and maintain balance in the face of disturbances or pushes.

Clinical trials for FDA approval and CE marking are scheduled to commence in 2024.
