As its global release approaches, Apple’s highly anticipated foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, has appeared in the Geekbench 7 database. Testing reveals how the A20 Pro chip performs within the more compact and restricted thermal space of a folding device. The model achieved impressive scores, reaching 3,986 points in single-core and 11,067 points in multi-core tests, placing it on par with traditional flagship models like the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Identified by the model number iPhone19,4 and running iOS 27.1, the device is equipped with 12GB of RAM. These early benchmarks suggest that Apple did not artificially throttle peak chip performance despite the tighter internal layout and smaller vapor chamber. However, experts note that Geekbench measures short-duration burst stress rather than extended loads, meaning long-term gaming sessions may reveal different thermal behaviors.

Beyond raw processing power, the iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch flexible inner Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an anti-reflective nanotexture finish, complemented by a 5.4-inch external cover screen. Imaging is handled by dual 48-megapixel rear cameras alongside front-facing sensors. The device also includes IP68 water and dust resistance, USB-C connectivity, and Apple Pencil support.
The global pre-order launch starts this Friday, with United States pricing beginning at $1,999 for the base 256GB model, scaling up for higher storage configurations.
