Tesla is gearing up to release the Model 3 soon. The company has confirmed that it’s on track to deliver the first production Model 3 car next month. The company’s next all-electric vehicle is going to be the Model Y. Tesla has talked about it before but at its recent shareholders’ meeting, the company released a shadowy teaser image of the Model Y.
Tesla said quite a long time back that it would deliver the first production unit of the Tesla Model 3 in July 2017. Much has been said about the company’s ability to mass product its first mass-market electric car. The challenges notwithstanding, Tesla has confirmed that it’s on track to deliver the first production Model 3 next month.
Tesla has gradually built up its car lineup over the years. We’ve since seen the company introduce a proper sedan, the Model S, and the Model X crossover. As the company gears up to start producing its first mass-market electric car, the Model 3, it’s also going to reveal some Model Y details in the coming week. This has been confirmed by none other than Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
Tesla has a lot riding on the Model 3, the company’s first mass-market all-electric car, that’s going to hit the production line later this year. GM’s Chevrolet Bolt is its direct competitor and while it has a lead on the new Tesla as far as production is concerned, the company’s CEO Elon Musk has hinted that the Tesla Model 3 range may be greater than that of its rival.
