White Macbook Slightly Faster Than Uniboby Version, So?

There was some buzz this morning around the fact that the recently upgraded Macbook was a little faster than the more expensive aluminum Unibody version. First, the white Macbook is about 4.2% faster in the overall benchmark, which is quite frankly not perceptible in the real world. Secondly, people don’t choose to get the Unibody or the White Macbook for performance reasons, but for… well, the body or the price.

If you like the low-price you should be pleased that you’ll get some decent performance too. If you go for the Unibody look and built quality, don’t be upset that the cheaper computer is a tiny bit faster, you can’t tell anyway.
