Dell Streak Goes Official On O2 UK

You’ve been eagerly waiting for it, and now the Dell Streak has finally gone official and will be launched exclusively on O2 UK in June. In case you didn’t notice it the last time, the 5-inch Dell Streak is an Android powered tablet device that can also function as a mobile phone, though Dell seems to call it a tablet instead of a phone. It’ll be powered by Google’s Android 1.6 when launched, but the computing giant already has its sights set on bumping the version to Android 2.2 FroYo further down the road, not to mention Flash 10.1. O2 still hasn’t mentioned the pricing and data plans for the Streak just yet, so it looks like we’ll have to sit tight and see what we’re served. Specifications of the Dell Streak include:

  • 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • 3G
  • Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • Android 1.6
  • 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash
  • microSD card expansion up to 32GB
  • 5-inch WVGA display
  • Integrated Google Maps
  • 2GB internal storage
