With the end of the year nearing, the company has announced some goals for the end of the year and it’s planning to hit the 5 million mark for bada phones and 50 million bada app downloads by the end of the year. The first bada-powered phone, the Samsung Wave was announced during Mobile World Congress this year and started to be sold sometime in June. There are 5 other bada products including the Wave II, Wave 525 (Wave 2), Wave 533 (Wave 2 Pro), Wave 575 and Wave 723. Of course, with the popularity of Android-powered devices out there, many of which come from Samsung itself, it’ll be interesting to see how well bada does in the long term.
