The iPad 2 is certainly the subject of much speculation, and this time around analyst Ming-Chi Kuo at Concord Securities seems to have a whole lot more details, claiming that the upcoming tablet will feature a dual-core, ARM Cortex-A9 processor that runs at 1.2GHz, which is definitely a boost from today’s 1GHz single-core A8 processor. Said analyst claims that this new processor will be able to achieve a performance level that is on par with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon and NVIDIA’s upcoming Tegra 2 3D. Not only that, Kuo also painted a picture of the iPad 2 that comes with a dual-core PowerVR SGX543MP2, 512MB RAM and a memory clock bump to hit 1,066MHz. Will these specifications hit the nail on the head, or are they merely wishful thinking?
