It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to hear whispers of the Galaxy S 2 and Galaxy Tab 2 floating around, but we do have confirmation that both devices exist since they will be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. For those who are not in the know, anticipation for the Galaxy S 2 is clearly pretty high, since the phone itself has been a best seller across many markets to date. Rumored specifications for the Galaxy S2 include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED 2 displaya 1280 x 720 resolution and 340 dpi, a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz per core, HD video recording capabilities, 1GB RAM, an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread – sounds like a pretty powerful computer if these were to be used in a netbook a couple of years back. As for the Galaxy Tab 2, it will be interesting to see what kind of improvements did Samsung throw in to position it better against the iPad (and upcoming iPad 2, of course). We will be at MWC 2011, so watch out for our coverage!
