Apple Peel 520

The second generation Apple Peel that was demonstrated last month has now has some product renders, and boy does it look good? In case you didn’t know, the Apple Peel is a special iPod Touch case that when fitted with a SIM card, gives your iPod Touch the ability to connect to the internet using GPRS (unfortunately 3G isn’t supported yet), and even make phone calls. This means no more lurking around WiFi hotspots just to get a connection on your iOS device, and Google Maps actually turns your iPod Touch into a GPS device. From the rendered images you can see that the case makes your iPod Touch look just like an iPhone 4 – whether it is a bad thing or not, that’s for you to decide, but depending on the price of the Apple Peel, you could get a very cheap “iPhone 4”. Head here to check out a demo of the Apple Peel at work.
