Samsung has just announced their latest external 3-D Blu-ray combo drive, otherwise known as the SE-406A for easier reference. Sporting a slim design with an extremely compact footprint to make it nigh portable, this new external 3D Blu-ray drive will also help you in your travels by eliminating the need for a power cord since it is USB powered. Apart from that, we do understand that it is an unspoken rule for new gizmos to receive plenty of curious touches from friends and family alike – which is why Samsung has pre-empted a potentially disastrous fingerprint magnet experience with an anti-fingerprint surface on the SE-406A. Other benefits of getting this would be the included CyberLink TrueTheater software that will help test PC readiness for 3D and Blu-ray content, while turning 2D DVD movies into a thrilling 3D experience. Of course, the bread and butter of any optical drive is also available on the SE-406A, which is to read Blu-ray discs, read and write CD/DVDs. The SE-406A will arrive at the end of April for around $150. [Press Release]
