Getting around town or in a city on a bicycle is one of the more environmentally friendly methods, especially when you couple that with a great public transport system. Well, the Voltitude electric bike is something else – it not only can be folded for easier transportation, it is also electric powered to help you up those gruelling, steep hills (hello, San Francisco!). Thanks to its special EasyFold system, the Voltitude bike can be folded (and vice versa) in around one second using but one hand. It is rather unfortunate in our books that Swiss and EU legislation limits the electric assist to 15.5 mph (25 kph), although if you have Flintstones-que pedal power, that might help you achieve faster speeds when a dinosaur is right on your tail. As for its onboard battery, that is great for anywhere between 12 and 25 miles per charge. No idea on pricing at press time, but international pre-orders for the Voltitude are already being accepted with initial shipments touted to arrive sometime before the year is over.
