Segway has expanded its commuter e-bike lineup by introducing a smaller XS/S size for the popular Myon model. This new sizing accommodates riders between 5’1” and 5’10”, offering enhanced comfort and accessibility. Alongside the existing Shoe Suede Blue, the XS/S variant introduces an all-new Minty Fresh color option.
To mark the launch, Segway is introducing a nationwide dealer test ride initiative running through June 21. Customers who test ride any model at an authorized dealership receive a $100 discount toward their purchase. Select locations will also showcase the Xiro automatic dropper post, an integrated accessory retailing for $229.99 that automatically lowers the saddle at stops to maximize rider stability.
The Myon e-bike retails for $1,999.99 and is configurable as a Class 1, 2, or 3 vehicle through a dedicated mobile application, reaching top speeds of up to 28 mph (45.06 km/h). Powered by a 500W nominal motor delivering 1,500W peak power and 85 Nm torque, it features a 722 Wh battery that provides an operational range of up to 80 miles (128.75 km).
Technical Specifications and Features
The drivetrain pairs proprietary electronic shifting with a 9-speed Shimano CUES system. For security and convenience, the bike includes Apple Find My compatibility, GPS tracking, and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
- Frame Options: Compatible with a removable toptube accessory that converts the step-through frame into a traditional diamond layout.
- Safety Components: Features hydraulic disc brakes, an 80 mm front suspension fork, and a 600-lumen auto-headlight with integrated turn signals.
- Certifications: The electrical architecture is UL 2271 and UL 2849 certified, carrying an IPX5 water-resistance rating for the body and IPX7 for the battery and display.
The model supports a maximum payload capacity of 300 pounds (136.08 kg). Total vehicle weight is 71.6 pounds (32.48 kilogram) for the new XS/S size and 72.75 pounds (33 kilogram) for the standard M/L frame. Both configurations are currently available on the official Segway online store and through licensed retail dealers.
