The Japanese are very fond of the cuteness factor (kawaii, or so they say), and this has been further proven through the many releases of a particlar device – the DS is a very good example, boasting many special and limited edition models for you to choose from. Well, it isn’t too different in the world of digital cameras either, as Casio has just announced a spanking new limited edition Casio Exilim camera that will commemorate the 60th anniversary of Astro Boy. The device will have the parts of the Exilim EX-S200 which was launched last year, albeit coming in a much more appealing and cuter form factor. Hardware specifications include a 14-megapixel CCD sensor, a 27mm lens with 4x optical zoom, and a 2.7″ 480×320 resolution LCD display. Since this is a special Astro Boy edition, Casio decided to enhance that fact with special icons and frames based on characters who have appeared in the cult manga/anime series before. Enjoy!
