We’ve covered news of the Contour range of helmet cameras before in the past, but that doesn’t mean the company is just going to sit down there without making any improvements to their existing line up. With plenty of gadget ninjas running around, it makes perfect sense for a less-than-careful moment by an individual to let slip what a company could be rolling out in due time, and in this case, someone has actually managed to get a closer look at the Contour Plus helmet cam.

Adrenaline junkies who want to record all of their adventures for posterity can always look forward to getting the Contour Plus helmet cam, as this POV (Point Of View) shooter is currently undergoing tests with a bunch of Giant pro cyclers. Contour is touted to improve on the ContourGPS with the introduction of the Plus by throwing in an HDMI-out port, increasing its image quality, and widening the viewing angle from 140 degrees to a cool 170.

Of course, folks who think that they have more lives than a cat will also be pleased to know that the Plus will come with a Bluetooth radio for you to check out the iPhone viewfinder app whenever you’re speeding down some slopes at death-defying speeds which is filled with obstacles to clear. Word on the street has it that the Contour Plus helmet cam will arrive sometime in May or June.
